A Collapsed Anchor is a technique used to neutralise minor or unwanted negative states by firing a positive resource anchor and the negative anchor simultaneously, allowing them to integrate and cancel each other out.
The process:
- Build rapport and set the frame
- Choose a positive resource state and associate fully into it
- Anchor the positive resource state — stack the anchor as many times as necessary to make it strong
- Test the anchor to confirm it fires the resource state reliably
- Anchor the negative state once only
- Fire both anchors together and wait until integration is complete
- Lift off the negative anchor and hold the positive for a further 5 seconds
- Test — the negative state should be neutralised or significantly reduced
